The 5th graders at Dimon decided that their community could benefit from a food pantry. They designed the food pantry layout and partnered with Feeding the Valley and Helping Hands to get food and storage equipment.

We have collected canned foods for our GEM Food Pantry. Feeding the Valley and Helping Hands have helped by providing meats and grain products.

Fifth graders work to organize the GEM Food Pantry and to pack supplies for families.

There is a system that takes place. Students make sure each box gets what is needed. Boxes are packed with canned goods, meats, grains, and milk or juices.

Students then help deliver the box to family.
