Assistant Principal's Page

We are so Proud of our Dimon Students!

Homework is assigned nightly! Make sure that your child brings home assignments, and completes each item assigned. Homework is another way of giving each child additional remediation from daily lessons in class.  In addition, your child  in grades 3-5 should be engaging in Achieve 3000. They can access their account from home for extra practice. If your child says he/she does not have an assignment on Monday - Thursday, check with the teacher. Together we can help all children succeed!

It is a pleasure to serve as your Assistant Principal at Dimon Magnet Academy.  Thank you for allowing us to teach your most precious gift.

Mr. Collier

What is PBIS?

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a team based, systematic approach in teaching behavioral expectations throughout the school.  It is based on a proactive model which teaches the behaviors, reinforces and recognizes students who are able to model these behaviors and has systems in place to support students who have a difficult time or may exhibit more challenging behaviors.

At Dimon Magnet Academy, the team approach is what truly makes this system work and we really need every family’s support to help us be successful.

It is important that your child show up to school on time and miss as few days as possible. A lot takes place during a school day and we do not want your child to get behind. If your child is out, be sure to bring an excuse as to why they couldn't come to school so we can mark it in our system.

We are so proud of our Dimon students!
